The organic combination of the improvement in pump design level and the optimization of manufacturing technology
In today's information age, pump designers have already utilized computer technology for product development and design (such as the use of CAD), which has significantly accelerated the design process and shortened the product design cycle. In manufacturing based on production, manufacturing technologies represented by NC technology (CAM) have already deeply penetrated into the production of pumps. However, from the current domestic situation, NC technology CAM is mainly applied to the production of batch products. For single-piece or small-batch production, currently, CAM technology has not been widely implemented in the pump industry, and single-piece and small-batch production still relies mainly on traditional production equipment.
Due to the market's demand for manufacturers to shorten the delivery time as much as possible, especially for special products (those produced in response to user requirements), the supply cycle must be shortened. This inevitably requires pump manufacturers to accelerate the utilization of CAM technology and even computer integrated manufacturing systems (CIMS). Flexible manufacturing (FMC and FMS) can coordinate and handle all processes from design to mold production, part processing, etc., ensuring that once the design is completed, the processing of product components is also completed simultaneously, in order to ensure the shortening of the production cycle of the product.
At the same time, in addition to using computer graphics, the strength analysis, reliability estimation and three-dimensional design of the product will also be realized on the computer platform. The process problems, local structural problems and assembly problems that were previously discovered and solved during production will be prevented before production, thus shortening the trial production period of the product.
